Call for Nomination of Members and Alternate Members of the Board of Equalization (BOE)

Board of Elections - The Long County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Long County Board of Elections.

Interested individuals must complete a Petition for Board Appointment. The form is also available at the Long County Board of Commissioners’ Office, 468 S. McDonald Street, Ludowici, GA, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on February 26, 2026, and may be mailed to P.O. Box 476, Ludowici, GA 31316, or emailed to Brandi Smiley at bsmiley@longcountyga.gov.

The Long County Board of Elections serves as the superintendent of elections and administers all primaries and elections in accordance with state law. 

Hinesville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens’ Advisory Committee (HAMPO CAC) - The Long County Board of Commissioners is seeking persons interested in the non-district appointments on the Hinesville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens’ Advisory Committee. HAMPO CAC advises the Policy Committee on matters of public opinion from individual citizens and citizen groups regarding planned changes to the Transportation Improvement Plan, Unified Planning Work Program and the Long Range Transportation Plan, as well as study findings and recommendations.

• 2-year term from the time of appointment

• Meet on 2nd Thursday, every other month at 4pm at the old courthouse in Hinesville, LCPC Conference Room
